FET Phase

Further Education and Training Phase

The FET (Further Education and Training) phase (Grades 10-12) requires that our students select a minimum of seven subjects. We are in the fortunate position of offering, within our school timetable, the opportunity for students to take an eighth subject if they wish.

The students use their thinking skills introduced in the Junior School and perfected in the GET phase, to explore and investigate various aspects of the curriculum. Our curriculum is audited annually to ensure that we offer Afro-centric content wherever possible. Our world-class teachers remain on the cutting edge through their commitment to lifelong learning.

We offer the four compulsory subjects namely:

  • English Home Language
  • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
  • Afrikaans, isiZulu or Sesotho (First Additional Language)
  • Life Orientation

Our students must choose at least three subjects from the wide range below:

  • Accounting
  • Dramatic Arts
  • Design
  • French (Second Additional Language)
  • Geography
  • German (Second Additional Language)
  • History
  • Information Technology
  • Italian (Second Additional Language)
  • Latin (Second Additional Language)
  • Life Sciences
  • Music

In addition, we offer:
